I am an intellignet and curious consumer of medical practice.  I ask a lot of questions before submitting to any proceedure. My DPT was able to answer my every question and I was totally confident of her ability to administer dry needling safely and effectively.  I know it was effective, it worked for me.  This issue seems to be about economic protection of acupunturists, rather than making dry needling more available to patients who need it through qualified doctors of physical therapy.
