Dry needling is helpful

To Whom It May Concern: I am currently a physical therapy patient for tight shoulder and back muscles.  These muscles have been tight for about 10 years and I have tried physical therapy 2 other times with limited success.  My current therapists are using  dry needing in addition to exercises and stretching for my treatment.  This is the most effective treatment I have received as the muscles are finally releasing.  I have also tried acupuncture at a chiropractor but this dry needling is different and is much more effective.  The therapists are certified and I sign a release form explaining risks and benefits each time they perform dry needling.  I find it to be a very beneficial treatment and the therapists are knowledgeable in the areas needed to perform this safely.  Sincerely, Alice Menks, MS, CCC-SLP
