Dry needling is the practice of acupuncture, should only be used by acupuncturists

In a country where to have the right legaly to practice acupuncture and hold the title acupuncturist it is necesarry to hold a miimum of a degree level education in the subject, it is highly irresponsible, immoral and unethical to allow anyone or profession who is not a fully trained acpncturist to practice a small part of its scope with scant training and be allowd to do this under the name of dry needling, or any other name.

It truly is a insult to the many practitioners who have studied long and hard and a great financial cost to devote themselves to a profession of care, that is not supported by, endorsed or subsidised by the government or medical profession in any way. To allow physiotherapists to practice dry needling the government not only puts the public at risk from therapists with a deficit of knowledge in the area but it also undermines the careers of the  acupuncture profesionals who have to pay fees to maintain a licence to practice.
