i oppose PT's doing dry needle without having an acupuncturist license. Dry needling is the same as acupuncture. Acupuncture is a very powerful treatment that has many different effects in the body and mind, it has to be done properly knowing what you are doing and what effects this might do in the paitent. there is a lot of knowledge behid the art and science of acupuncture. it cannot be taken lightly and done haphazardly. i strongly oppose the porposal of physical therapist doing dry needle without the necessary acupuncturist education and license.
