Patient-centered treatment:
1. The extensive anatomy and needle training a physical therapist receives, thoroughly prepares one for dry needling safely
2. Limiting tools that could be useful in the treatment of one's patients only hurts patients
3. Discussions like these are a continued example of medical turf warfare and they are not patient-centered.
4. Dry needling and accupuncture are not mutually exclusive. Different technique, different goals, same tool. It would be equivalent to a framer battling a roofer in court because both use a hammer. They are both building a house.
