Inserting needle into the "trigger point" by PT is Acupuncture! It should require years of training for get acupuncture license, not for 20-30 huours training!

Do not allow physical therapists to perform acupuncture (dry needling). It is outside their scope of practice!!!

Dry needling is acupuncture.  Acupuncture cannot be simplified to inserting needles at pain locations without fully understandind the underlying differential diagnosis, and selecting the correct set of acupuncture points to benefit the patient.
