Higher standards for DN...

Any way you look at it...it's Acupucnture.  They just changed the "terms" and wording but it is indeed Acupuncture.  Just like they many Physical Theraptist use the term "Myofascial Decompression"  instead of the acupucnture term "Cupping."  (a techinique made famous by the Olympic swimmer).

Bascially if they want to be Acupuncturist and use all the techniques but label it something else just have the same level of training. The dry needling education is only 20-30 hours, from unaccrediated educational institutions. It would be in the public's best interest and safety if the Physical Therapists matched the education of MD acupuncturists @ 300 hours of training and licensed acupuncturits are at 2000-3000 hours in acupuncture education.
