They use acupuncture needles in an invasive procedure without proper training. Dry needling is orthopedic acupuncture. Acuouncturists also study anatomy, but have much better oalpation and needling skills because that's our focus. If a PT wants to use acupuncture needles, feel free to go acupuncture school and get licensed. I often have to correct mistakes and injuries by PTs and they make acupuncture look terrible.
