Keep Dry Needling!

My sister is a powerlifter and has had remarkable results with her physical therapist and dry needling. Dry needling has allowed her to continue to compete and hold national records in her sport by helping her return to function. Prior to dry needling, she had been having mixed results with recurring back pain. After working with her physical therapist and dry needling, she has returned to her sport and has not had a recurring injury. My personal experience with dry needling has had similar results. I have noticed a great reduction in muscle trigger points and increased functional range of motion after dry needling. My experience with the health care professional performing dry needling was incredibly professional, sanitary, and yielded positive results. Given the efficiency, effectiveness, and minimal invasiveness of this technique, I believe it is paramount that physical therapists have the ability to use this technique as a rehabilitation tool to provide for their patients. Please keep dry needling!
