I am very concerned that we will not be able to provide 5 or 7 hours of services anymore to our clients. Some of our clients are very high needs and require lengthly amounts of time. A doctor's office appointment could exceed 3 hours or trying to de-escalate a situation after already providing skill building in another area such as working on finanical management and medical needs. I feel putting a limit on the hours we are able to spend with our clients in a daily session will cause QMHPs to not be able to provide as quality service and clients will suffer due to these changes. This change will also make clients feel rushed which may cause them to panic and experience increased anxiety which is one goal we are trying to decrease. This also puts a strain on the QMHP to schedule clients more frequently since less objectives and goals can be accomplished  in a shorter session which could result in our clients needs not being met due to the QMHP having conflicts in scheduling with other clients. The old saying "if it isnt broke, don't fix it" I think applies here. I know through first hand experience and observation that if the 5 and 7 hour sessions are taken away that this will hurt workers as well as clients.
