The ban on guns inside Executive Branch facilities is what I term a "fashion law" as it appears to have been enacted as a kneejerk reaction to current events and not careful consideration of cause and effect. It is not an effective response to any perceived or future threat inside EB offices.  A criminal will not abide by the regulation anyway so the net effect is to remove the "force multiplier" effect of armed citizens that can respond to the immediate threat.

I urge immediate repeal of this regulation and request extension of the comment period.
