Gun ban in executive agencies

This is an illogical attempt to solve a problem that doesn't exist. The governor should NOT be allowed to implement this action.

Any such "rule" will only be respected by law-abiding persons. By definition, law-abiding people are not the problem. It is law-breakers who enter "gun-free" zones carrying weapons tio inflict harm. Denying law-abiding people the ability to protect themselves is irrational, irresponsible, and borders upon criminal negligence by the governor.

Every mass shooting - Columbine, Aurora, Sandy Hook, Washington Naval Shipyard, Paris, San Bernardino, Ft. Hood - ALL occurred in "gun-free" zones where the only persons carrying weapons were law-breakers. Sadly, recent events clearly demonstrate 1st responders cannot respond quickly enough. Victims MUST be able to defend themselves from terrorists and criminals, holding law-breakers at bay until 1st respnders can arrive on the scene.

I am a former law enforcement agent and multiple combat tour veteran. I know of what I speak!

Please extend the period for comments to be provided. The Christmas break interrupts individuals' ability to properly respond.
