Physical Therapist should not be allowed to do dry needling.   It needs to be performed by competent practitioners of Acupuncture for the safety of the public.  The overwhelming majority of malpractice involving acupuncture aka dry needling also, has involved professionals that have not been sufficiently trained in acupuncture protocols and safety techniques.
