Strongly oppose PT dry needling as an issue of quality of service

Why is Physical therapist required a PHD. What is difference a DPT or Master PT.  They received same basic education, anatomy, physiology. Why most PT board requires PT to have PHD degree for entry level practice. It's all about quality of service. The answer to PT who want to use dry needling is the same to PT with master degree who want to practice PT. You do not have enough education. Dry needling is a type of acupuncture, it does not only require anamomy knowledge, but also the impact of each point toward body. Each point including trigger point, has impact to local and remote area. Some trigger points have effect to change a person's blood pressure very fast. You have to use other points to balance it. Acupuncturist study each point including trigger points for thousands years, and developed clinical proved treatment methods in the world, to treat pain and more than 80 other illness. Without such basic knowledge, and required training, dry needling is put our public safety in danger.
