Why deny Virginia citizens right to self-defense?”

"gun free zones"--in what instance has this worked?  the attitude of average citizens has changed dramatically since 9/11/01 and the preaching of passivity has proven to be a false mantra and more and more people are arming themselves and more and more people are following the dictum of action is much more preferable to no action.  disarming the public and inhibiting law enforcement officers in the carrying of a weapon is STUPID!

Black Friday saw something like 185.000 NICS checks being performed.  Does that tell you that the public feels that the government is/can protect them?  If so, I have a bridge I would like to sell you in Brooklyn!  Police response to a call for help is minutes away,  Does the criminal or the terrorist want to wait that long?
