Support for dry needling by use of PT

Physical Therapist are fully capable of performing dry needling in conjunction with other modalities to ensure their patients are receiving the best possible care.  Our graduate programs in anatomy, physiology, and neuroanatomy provide us with advanced learning to be fully competent with needling after completing the required post graduate education.

To say Physical Therapist peforming dry needling is unsafe is erroneous.  According to Brady et al, (2013)

No significant adverse events were reported giving an estimated upper risk rate for significant

adverse events of less than or equal to 0.04% when physical therapist peformed dry needling during 7,629

different treatments.
