Dr Anna C Kelly, a medical acupuncturist said it best (on 12/10/15 in this forum):  if a PT wants to do acpuncture, they should get the proper training such as three to four years that acupuncturists have to go through.  

We shouldnt even be having this conversation its so ridiculous....a PT doing an acupuncturists work and just calling it a different name?  This sounds like the kind of issue that would arise in a third world country.  This is America!  Not only is it a bad idea for public safety, its a slap in the face to acupuncturists, perpetrated by PT board.....this cant be allowed
