Regulatory proposal by Governor is a solution to a non-issue

The governor's emergency order and proposed regulation is a solution in search of a problem. There is no evidence that it will improve public safety, while denying the law-abiding citizens of Virginia their rights.

If enacted, the proposed regulation's gun free zones will create well defined areas where government employees and citizens will be attractive targets for crime or terrorist attacks. This proposed regulation denies a civil right guaranteed by the US and Virginia's Constitutions while not offering any benefit to the citizens.

This regulations should not be approved and the emergency regulation withdrawn.
