This ban is a bad idea

Removing guns from the hands of law abiding citizens and creating "gun free" killing zone for terrorists and spree killers is wrong headed. So far, the only thing that we have found that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Removing all of the good guys with guns removes the chance that one will be there to stop the next spree killer. That is the essence of bad policy. It would be great if the police were there to take care of all potential outbreaks of gun violence, but there are nowhere near enough police to accomplish this. Even if there were a police officer in every executive office building, they would only be the first target of the spree killer. We in the commonwealth have had years of experience with having armed citizens in government buildings without any negative consequences. Don't fix things that aren't broken.
