This is a patently absurd action that will not solve any tangible problem.  Rather, this will create issues.  This will not impact criminals and will potentially harm upstanding citizens.  The Governor has completely overreached his authority in defining "Prohibited Locations".  This is clearly within the jurisdiction of our Congress.  When individuals research where they may legally carry as well as the manner of carry, they examine the law.  They will not look at "policy".  This is an underhanded way of harassing citizens with threats of prosecution for following the law.  This is shameful, reprehensible, and dishonest at many levels.

Exactly how will this action prevent harm to citizens in the areas where this will effect?  What is the historical evidence for this in those areas?  Why was this action chosen now rather than soon after the Governor was elected?   What law permits the Governor from prohibiting legal objects on Virginia owned (or leased) property?  Why wasn't the Virginia Congress involved with this and why were they circumvented?
