Dry needle is a way of Acupuncture. It is part of acupuncture called Ashixue. Dry needle came from acupuncture Ashixue ,  and performs same as acupuncture Ashixue.   However, acupuncture is much more than just Ashixue. 

If PTs conduct dry needle, it only perform half way of acupuncture. Patients won't get the best results. 

Since dry needle is part of acupuncture, it should be performed by licenced acupuncturists to achieve the most benefits to the patients.
