Please assist us in helping to stop the practice of “dry needling” by inadequately trained physical therapists.  We believe that serious injuries have already occurred, including at least one instance where a physical therapist who was “dry needling” accidentally punctured a patient’s lung in Asheville, North Carolina.  There are numerous other injuries by Physical Therapists and other health care practitioners who do not have sufficient education and clinical training to perform acupuncture. Unfortunately, whenever an injury occurs it is most often cited as an “Acupuncture” injury.
