Concealed Agenda

1. Public mass shootings take place in gun-free zones. Terrorists pick their targets in areas where they are likely to succeed: gun-free zones.
2. There have been no shootings in state agencies where concealed handguns have been allowed (i.e., they are NOT gun-free zones).
3. Inexplicably, you are seeking an emergency regulation to create gun-free zones in state buildings by banning concealed carry - by CHP holders who are the most law-abiding of any of our citizens.

The only thing that will stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun.  You are inviting bad people, who have bad intentions, to target anyone who works in, or visits, state office buildings.

I urge you to immediately rescind the firearms ban that you instituted in state agency buildings.
You are exceeding your authority under Virginia law.
You are also needlessly and recklessly endangering my life, the lives of state agency employees, and the lives of other citizens visiting those agencies.

The only explanation for your actions is that you are pushing a not-well concealed anti-Second Amendment political agenda.
