Chilling Orwellian Implications? NO to this travesty

In George Orwell's book, Animal Farm, at first 'All animals are equal'. As the Pigs gain power, it becomes 'All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others'. Is this the end which the Governor intends? it is a travesty that we should have ANY sort of "Gun Free" zones in this State, as they are precisely the places to go for those that wish to do the most damage in the least amount of time to citizens' life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. When seconds count, the "authorities" are minutes or hours away. There is a large group of responsible citizens that are helpless at the door.

It appears that the current administration is cordoning itself off from the public with this executive decree, thus holding the state's citizens out as helpless targets, unable to protect or defend what we hold dear. I work in a declared "Gun Free" zone, and every day am saddened that I cannot give my life to defend our most precious resource, unless I do so unarmed.

With this thought in mind I implore our elected representatives to not only cease this elitist objective, but also to stand WITH the public in defense of the scourges that now potentially plague us, OR, put down your weapons, bodyguards and private militias, and stand as as an example of your doctrine. There is no "or else" implied other than that the citizens can and will vote.
