Gun Control in State Agencies

1. This issue is so important that I strongly request that you extend the comment period for another 30 days so that concerned citizens can submit comments.

2. The proposal to extend this emergency gun control regulation should not be implemented. Rather than create a safe zone for public employees, this regulation will create, in reality, a soft target for terrorists and violent criminals. The utter failure of school safe zones is ample proof that this type of regulation will not achieve the desired results. Strongly recommend that the emergency regulation with withdrawn and the implementation of the permanent ban should be revoked. Do not disarm law-abiding citizens who follow the law and are not the enemy. Protect our right to bear arms. It is a constitutional right and must be upheld at all levels. This is the only effective defense against violent criminals, who will always seek softer targets if they believe citizens are armed to protect themselves. Look at the statistics honestly and you will agree. Do not implement this dangerous regulation!
