Ban Gun Free Zones

Statistics have proven that:

  • Laws don't stop criminal actions
  • Gun Free Zones create victim rich target which are routinely sought out by maniacal murderers
  • Areas where guns are banned see increasing violent crime rates
  • Areas where legal carry is permitted see decreasing violent crime rates
  • States and localities that expand citizens' ability to carry firearms do NOT see increases in:
    • vigilante justice
    • accidental shootings
    • crime rates
    • suicides
    • mass murder
  • Government cannot effectively protect individuals from harm so it is up to the citizen to protect themselves
  • Passing laws like this cost the taxpayer money and the net effect is a negative.  Safety is reduced while expenses are increased.

What this means is that your EO#50 has effectively made Virginia a far less safe place for the people you are sworn to serve.  The Order is unconstitutional under both the Virginia and US Constitutions.  Please rescind your order immediately.
