No Gun Zones Equal Killing Zones, only honest citizens will comply and be at risk

This proposed regulation will have the opposite of the intended affect by playing into the hands of terrorists, violent criminals, and the criminally insane. We have had no shootings in state agencies and this prohibition on those with a concealed handgun permit, some of whom have active and ongoing threats to their lives, is entirely without any justification and needlessly and recklessly endangers innocent lives.

Disarming good citizens does not make them safer, it only empowers those who would do evil to do it a very public place with little fear of being stopped before the reach maximum carnage.

The Governor has no authority for this regulation. If the General Assembly wanted the Governor to have such power, they would have granted it to him explicitly, as is required constitutionally.

No gun zones and supposed common sense gun laws are knee jerk reactions that show little thought and even less leadership. The Governor like our President is not in touch with the realities we face today when a leader has to ignore the will of the people by using executive orders it only shows what little regard people like our Governor actually have for the law abiding citizens.

We just got through elections where the people of Virginia rejected the gun control platform that the Governor and his out of state cronies spent millions of dollars trying to push. This executive temper tantrum does little to advance the conversation, not just on this subject but all the business we expect our elected officials to work together on.

This regulations should not be approved and the emergency regulation withdrawn.
