This is to request that you not approve the changes recommended to the voter registration forms as they relate to the current requirement that an applicant affirmatively indicate by checking boxes on the form that they are U.S. citizens, that they have not been adjudicated to be mentally incapacitated, and are not convicted felons whose voting rights have not been restored.  These changes have the potential to cause more confusion than to do good.  At this point in time, they appear ill conceived no matter how well intentioned.  Please reject them.
