This approach is contrary to the Code of Virginia and the Virginia Constitution and eliminates significant safeguards against fraudulent registration.  A positive statement of citizenship, felony convictions and competency forces the applicant to address these issues.   Do not change this form, we need to know if people who are voting are voting legally, otherwise there is no point in having the form at all.  Changing it to optional is just a step towards taking the questions out all together.Type over this text and enter your comments here.
