SBE proposal RE citizenship and felony convictions

I am not in favor or allowing those registering to vote to not answer the citizenship and felony convictions questions.  The disposition of what requirements must be met to vote in the Commonwealth of Virginia needs to rest in the General Assembly where Senator Mark Obenshain and Delegate Rob Bell have already addressed these issues.  For the SBE to rule on voting requirements on its own is government by fiat -- which can turn to government by authoritarian rule quickly.  Further, SBE ruling on felony convictions flies in the face of Governor McAuliffe's efforts to restore felons' rights and undermines not only his entire program but also the work of the good citizens who are devoting time and talent to correctly adjudicate individual cases.  Finally, citizenship must be determined in order to vote in all Western European countries, for example.  We share a common heritage about individual rights and freedoms with them.  No logical reason can be argued for a voter who registers to not divulge his/her citizenship.  Thank you.
