Action | 2015 Voter Registration Application Regulation and Form Update |
Stage | Proposed |

I understand that the State Board of Elections has proposed disallowing questions regarding citizenship and commission of felonies on voter registrations. This makes absolutely no sense, since non-citizens and felons do not legally have the right to vote. Why would you not want this information, unless you are specifically planning to turn a blind eye to illegal voting and/or plan to encourage voter fraud? As a lifelong citizen of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States of America, I am entitled to vote and have my vote count, not to have it diminished by hundreds if not thousands of illegal votes. This proposal should be withdrawn immediately.
