I do not understand how anyone could possibly justify not asking about citizenship when registering to vote.  It is a priveledge and an obliation to vote and proving that I have the right to vote is a very low barrier to keep voters legal.

We should make it very easy for someone to get a state provided photo ID if they do not have a drivers license.  If we make it easy to get the photo ID and they can't be bothered to get it then they would not bother to vote any way.
