Oppose this amendment

Schools have policies in place to deal with the teaching of controversial texts and supplemental materials. Parents should communicate with schools to make sure these policies are well written and followed.

The proposed amendment would create excessive paperwork and actually reduce communication between teachers and parents. In addition, the vague terms of the amendment create an enormous amount of concern about how this will work. Why are the current policies in place not enough to deal with this issue? What is driving this need for yet another regulation?
