I oppose abortion completely, but even if I did not, abortion clinics should be held to the same standards that hospitals do. Abortion is a surgical procedure with the same risks as surgical procedures performed in hospitals. Without regulations, women are at an even greater risk for infections or even death in abortion clinics. What has this country come to? Mothers killing their own babies in the womb? it does not get worse than that! It is so twisted that the government even considers abortion healthcare, but since it does, why aren"t abortion clinics being held responsible for their violations? Any medical facility that doesn't follow basic medical guidelines is not safe and should not be allowed to provide "medical care."
