Abortion clinics should be regulated to such an extent as will ensure the safe care of all women who come to them. Women who seek abortions are already vulnerable, often being poor, young, or uneducated, and every effort should be made to ensure that a surgical abortion does not leave them with physical trauma, infection, or death.

Surgical abortion requires great care be demonstrated towards the patient, and I support strict regulations on abortion clinics that will ensure the health and safety of women who seek surgical abortion.
