I oppose abortion, not because it could appear to me (in my limited and fallible thinking) that some women might need an abortion, but because it is never good or right.  That said, because there are good, strict, and safe veterinary regulations for spaying, we should have at least a semblance of that for reproductive issues in a higher species who is "made in the image and likeness of God."
