These regulations are totally unnecessary and will only serve as a roadblock for women to recieve safe, necessary, and legal medical care. The simple fact that Mr. Cuccenelli had to throw a temper tantrum to get these regulations past despite the better judgement of the majority of the Virginia Board of Health speaks to the political, not medical, intentions of these regulations.

It is my hope that the regulations will be amended to be based purely on medicine and science, not politics, and will not impede women's access to essential health care.
