TRAP Regulations are unnecessary

On other issues, I have heard Governor McDonnell express his concern that Virginia should not be adding new regulations where there is no evidence of need for new regulation.  I encourage Governor McDonnell to follow that same standard in the case of the proposed Targeted Regulations for Abortion Providers.

These regulations are purely political, and are not medically indicated -- as is evidenced by the fact that the regulations could not be passed by a Board of Health appointed based on medical qualifications, and were only passed after the appointment of a new member chosen based not on medical qualificiation but on membership in an anti-abortion group.

Virginians cannot trust a state government/regulation agencies built on tricks, rather than on truth.

Do not sign the proposed TRAP regulations.
