Clinic regulations // SB924

Affirming these regulations is contrary to the mission of the Board of Health which should be making decisions based on evidence and data concerning medically-necessary regulations.  By affirming them, you will have allowed yourself to be a pawn of the policital process.

These regulations have little to no foundation in sound medical practice.  Applying them to existing clinics which are already effectively regulated and have excellent track records for patient care perpetuates terrible damage on the women of Virginia.

The result will be more women attempting to self-abort (there is no shortage of information on the internet); more unwanted children; more poverty; more abuse as women with unwanted children are more likely to stay with their abuser; fewer women finishing their educations; fewer women with stable jobs or careers.

How does this possibly promote public health?

Finally, these regulations only became finalized because of AG Cuccinnelli's threats to Board members regarding their right to representation by the Commonwealth if they voted against his wishes.  That was a despicable abuse of the democratic process.   You must not allow it to prevail.
