Amend the Regulations Targetting Women's Health Centers

The temporary regulations for women's health centers impose extensive and burdensome requirements for clinic buildings unrelated to the services centers provide and without proven medical benefit.  These centers provide a full array of safe, affordable preventive health services.  Their high standards of care are proven by impressive safety records.  The intention of these regulations is clearly to increase costs while limiting the availability of these services.  Given the irrelevance to mission of the bulk of the regulations, they are less likely to improve quality of care than they are to diminish accessibility to cancer screenings, family planning, and sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment.  They are also less likely to improve the quality of women's lives than they are to manifest negative economic consequences.  I urge that the regulations be amended to be based on medical and sciencific principles so as not to impede women's access to essential health care.  Thank you for considering my comments.
