I am adamantly opposed to the TRAP regulations and call on the Board not to endorse these unnecessary and counterproductive regulations.  It is abundantly clear to even casual observors that the proposed regulations have nothing to do with medical need or women's health.  They are designed by anti-abortion forces to achieve through regulations what they cannot achieve through legislation, and the Board would be compllicit in thwarting the  majority of Virginia citizens if it acquiesces.  These regressive forces have already succeeded in making the state a national joke - we don't need another round of being "the stupid state."   I would also hope that the Board has some concern for its professional reputation.  I am old enough to remember when abortion was illegal. The law did not stop abortions, it only made them life threatening.   A genuinely concern with women's health would work toward ensuring that they are  safe, legal and rare .  Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
