I ask that you please consider the importance of Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) as APRNs. In my role as a CNS, I am responsible for leading Clinical Transformation at my institution.  The CNS master's program I attended prepared me well for my current role by allowing me to look at the organization as a whole by focusing on cost savings, efficiencies, decreasing hospital acquired infections, readmission and the continuum of patient care in general.  I can't imagine any other preparation than a CNS program would have prepared me to make such an impact on the organization I work for.
