Faith based agencies have the constitutional right to carry out their work in accordance with their religious teachings.  The Commonwealth should respect the right of adoption agencies to work with biological parents to place children in homes with a family structure that corresponds to their faith.

I support the State Board of Social Services' revised regulations which state, in pertinent part:  "The licensee shall prohibit acts of discrimination based on race, color, or national origin to: (1) Delay or deny a child's placement; or (2) Deny an individual the opportunity to become a foster or adoptive parent."  Sexual orientation should not be included in the categories of prohibited discrimination.
