I am writing to urge you to uphold the fundamental right of faith-based child placement agencies to continue their work of placing children for adoption without governmental intrusion or restriction of the practice of their faith.  Faith-based organizations should contiue to have the legal right to make decisions that are consistent with their religious beliefs, including their beliefs about marriage and family life.  Adoptive parents and those who place their children up for adoption should be allowed to work with agencies that share their belief and values as well.  To deny these freedoms to faith-based agencies or their clients would be a violation of their religious freedoms which are foundational to our state and nation.  Please uphold the rights of faith-based adoption agencies and allow them to continue their vital work without government intrusion.
