Include anti-discrimination provisions in Minimum Standards for Licensed Private Child-Placing Agenc

As Virginia resident and voter, I am concerned about the protections proposed in the "Minimum Standards for Licensed Private Child-Placing Agencies" regulations.

In particular, I find it critical that prospective adoptive parents are included in the eligibility pool irrespective of gender, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, or disability.  I urge the agency to require protection of these classes in the minimum standards.

It is crucial that private agencies acting on behalf of the state adhere to the same standards of care that we would hold the state accountable for if acting directly.  Intermidiaries should be prevented from providing child-placing services if they are unable or unwilling to adhere to the standards we set for ourselves as an inclusive society.

Please, prevent the licensing of child-placing agencies that place an agenda of exclusion above the well-being of the child.
