As adoptive parents of two boys, we urge you to reject the proposed regulations that would discriminate against faith based child placing agencies.  We used a faith-based agency during our first adoption to ensure that we adopted in an atmosphere that held our same spiritual beliefs.  Our first son's birthmother also chose this agency to ensure that she would be certain that her birthson would be raised with a family with the same spiritual beliefs.  This provides an atmosphere of certainty in a time of incredible uncertainty for both the adoptive family and birthfamily.  It is our strong belief that forcing agencies and the families they serve to choose between following their own values or following the proposed discriminatory regulations is a violation of our religious freedom.  Thank you.
