Children come first!

Dear Virginia's State Board of Social Services:

I was informed that Virginia’s State Board of Social Services is considering whether to approve regulations prohibiting adoption agencies from discriminating against prospective adoptive parents based on gender, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability, or family status.  As a voter in Virginia and a soon to be father, I urge you to approve regulations that prohibit adoption agencies from discriminations based on gender, age, sexual orientation or family status.

All children deserve loving parents and a happy home, and decisions about prospective parents should not be based on discriminatory factors such as sexual orientation.  Good parents, from many different walks of life, come in all shapes and sizes that may be disregarded by shallow beliefs and hateful politics but not by your wise consideration.  All adoption agencies whether private or act in the stead of the state should be bound by principals of non-discrimination.

Thank you for considering my request.
