Adoption Non-Descrimination Must Continue

I am a voter and social worker living in Richmond, Virginia, and I believe strongly that all children deserve a loving, forever family.

Decisions about prospective parents should be based on the best interest of the child, not on discriminatory factors unrelated to good parenting.

Currently, the over 1,000 children waiting to be adopted in Virginia deserve to have the opportunity to be a part of any family that wants to love them for who they are, and meets basic qualifications.

These children should not be restricted by the opinions and beliefs that an agency or its employees may have, regardless of religious belief.  Discrimination is discrimination, and it should not be allowed.
