Hi, I am a resident of Virginia and want to urge you to look out for the children. There are too many children in need of a loving home and too many couples that are not allowed to step in. All the research shows that children raised by gay and lesbian parents do just as well as children raised by straight parents... and let's face it, most children that are in the foster care system come from heterosexual households. This just shows that no matter the sexual orientation, what's most important is that children are in a loving, supporting enviroment that allows positive growth. There are many couples whose desire is to be parents, but the law is not allowing them to step in. Human services agencies are constantly looking for foster parents and it only makes sense to use the resources we already have. Please open foster care adoption to committed, gay couples.
