It is absolutely an outrage to deny equal protection to the LGBT community, but it is even more outrageous to deny Virginia's children a loving family, especially when one considers the number of children either under the care of the state or in the foster care system. LGBT individuals should be given the same consideration as everyone else; denying a child love and a strong support system aside, you are also denying them a higher standard of living and a chance at success. Hasn't the bright future of VA's youth always been the ultimate goal?
